"There are many who give advice, but few who offer guidance."

Laura Drake, MSW, LSW (she/her)

Licensed Social Worker

Laura Drake is a Licensed Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience supporting youth and families. As a former juvenile probation officer turned policy director, she has spent her career championing systems change and advocating for the most vulnerable. Laura’s passion for social work was born from her own personal journey, navigating profound grief and loss, coming out, divorce, and ultimately, rebuilding. Through those lived experiences, she found not just resilience but a calling: to walk alongside others in their own paths to healing.

She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults facing life’s challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, family stress, behavioral concerns, and system involvement. Laura is passionate about supporting marginalized communities, including the LGBTQIA+ population. She is trained in trauma-informed care and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and play-based methods into her practice. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and informed by both clinical expertise and real-life understanding.

In her own words:

“Therapy isn’t about fixing people, it’s about honoring their experiences, offering safety, and helping them move forward in ways that feel right to them. I want every client to know that they matter, they’re not alone, and that healing doesn’t have to be scary.

Outside the office, you can usually find me elbow-deep in my garden, planning our next travel adventure, or enjoying real conversations around the dinner table with my wife, Kristen, and our teen daughter. I find joy in laughter, comfort in connection, and renewal in simply slowing down and being present. Life can feel overwhelming, but with support and connection, there is always hope.”

Rachael Myers, LMHCA (she/they)

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”-James Baldwin

Rachael Myers earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in August 2024. She brings experience from diverse roles, including serving on a Crisis Team in an Emergency Department and working in substance use and addictions treatment across intensive outpatient (IOP) and residential settings. Rachael has also supported individuals in community mental health settings, particularly those diagnosed with serious mental illnesses.

She provides counseling for individuals aged 15 and older, employing evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness practices. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed, multicultural perspective that ensures her clients feel supported and understood. Rachael is dedicated to working with individuals managing chronic illnesses/pain, neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, addictions, stress management, life changes, grief, trauma, and suicidal ideation, offering compassionate care tailored to their unique challenges and strengths.

Rachael began her professional journey as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a role she held for 10 years. She later earned an associate’s degree in respiratory care and practiced as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for 17 years, including traveling to support communities that were the hardest hit during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences have given her unique insights into the challenges faced by healthcare and emergency service workers, an area in which she has developed a particular counseling focus.

Her passion extends to advocating for and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, with a special emphasis on creating a safe and affirming space for transgender individuals. She is committed to addressing their unique needs and challenges with empathy and respect, empowering them to navigate their personal journeys and achieve their goals.

Rachael is a dedicated advocate for equality and human rights, driven by a deep commitment to fostering inclusivity and justice. She believes in empowering all individuals to live with dignity and works to support marginalized populations in achieving equity and access to resources. Her practice reflects her belief in the inherent worth of every person and her dedication to creating a more just and compassionate world.

“My life has always been centered around helping people and making the world (or just my little corner) a more empathetic and kinder place. I believe in the power of community and connection, and these values guide both my personal and professional life.

At home, music is often at the heart of our lives, accompanied by the joy, and chaos!, of our dogs and cats. I love spending time with friends, my son and my spouse, enjoying live music and theater, going to the movies, or experiencing new and tasty foods. I also love hanging out by a fire, tending to my plants and flowers (there is always room for more!), and exploring the outdoors—especially somewhere with water. When I’m not working, you can often find me binging British detective shows or playing with my furry buddies.

I love to travel, and I’ve had the privilege of living overseas. These experiences have taught me that gaining a differing perspective enriches our understanding of ourselves, other people, and the world around us. A sense of humor is invaluable—whether I laugh at myself, as I often do, or all the things life throws at us, laughing together is healing

This is a favorite quote of mine, “Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.” -Fred Rogers

Luke Hatton, MSW, LCSW (he/him)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Luke earned his Master’s of Social Work from IU-Indianapolis in 2022, with a concentration in children, youth, and families. Luke first started his career at Kenosis Counseling Center in Greenwood, working private practice with ages six and up. After this, he began working at The Willow Center, focusing his efforts more with ages twelve and up, as well as facilitating an adolescent DBT group, providing school counseling within the Northwest Hendricks School Corporation, and all while preparing to take his clinical licensure test. Luke
earned his clinical licensure in January of 2025 after a little over 2 years of working with clients. Luke has experience working with depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, trauma, and much more. Luke primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) but strives to meet you where you are at above all.

In his own words:
“I am incredibly passionate about helping the people of this community! I grew up in Pittsboro my whole life, so Hendricks County is my home, and it brings me a lot of joy to be able to give back to this community that raised me. My passion for this work has gone through many changes, starting out wanting to work with younger populations and focusing on becoming a play therapist. However, that changed as I began working with more LGBTQIA+ teenagers and adults and recognized that this population, as well as many others, need these spaces to live life to its fullest. Self-love is hard in today’s world but I will be happy to walk alongside anyone who may choose to cultivate it.

When not working, I am an avid fantasy novel reader (favorite is The Stormlight Archives), video gamer, Dungeons & Dragons player, and writer. Basically, if there is something to nerd out about then I am in! During the summer and fall, my significant other and I attend Renaissance Faires, enjoy nature, and generally try to soak up sunshine while we can!

My goal is to make you feel welcome in whatever way possible because vulnerability is difficult. Taking the steps to reach out is already a major accomplishment so congrats! I look forward to getting to know more about your story!

“Why do we tell stories? To try to make sense of a world that can be terrifying and enormous.” -Brennan Lee Mulligan

Indiana Therapist Adam Alvey

Adam Alvey, LMHC, (he/him)

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Adam earned his Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2021. Adam started his counseling career at a CMHC in Texas, working with children and families. Adam and his family then moved to Indiana, where he began his work in group private practice, where he worked with couples, families, and teens. During this time, Adam found he has a passion for working with couples. He received training and education in Relational Life Therapy and Gottman level 1 and 2. Adam has been trained in various trauma-informed approaches, including vicarious trauma and Trust-Based Relational Intervention, and enjoys working with relational dynamics.
Adam received his clinical license (LMHC) in 2025. He has experience working with many people and feels confident in his work with intimate and complex relationships of all forms. Adam provides a safe, non-judgmental, open, affirming, and experienced approach to walk alongside you in sorting out the complexity of relationships.
 In his own words:
Relationships are a challenging—but essential—part of our lives, whether with a partner, family member, friend, or coworker. By focusing on the here and now, we can better understand the patterns shaping our relationships and strengthen the connections that matter most. While the past and future are not irrelevant, therapy offers space to explore how past experiences have led you to this moment and how the present can shape a healthier, more fulfilling tomorrow. I offer a safe and supportive environment where you can reflect on what has brought you to the present and identify meaningful ways to move forward. I believe no one fits neatly into a single box, and because of that, I do not rely on a single method of counseling. Instead, I practice a blended, integrative approach—drawing from multiple therapeutic theories and techniques—tailored to your unique experiences, needs, and goals.
I am LGBTQIA+ allied and provide kink- and poly-informed care, offering an affirming, nonjudgmental space for individuals and relationships of all identities and structures. Whether you are a teen, adult, concerned parent, or partner, I will meet you as the individual you are. Together, we will have open conversations, explore possibilities, and develop a plan that supports healing, growth, and a renewed sense of wholeness.
Accepting that you could benefit from therapy can be difficult—but I aim to show you that the process of being in therapy does not have to be.

Natalie Deputy, LSW, (she/her)

Licensed Social Worker

Natalie Deputy is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis.  Prior to joining the Voyage Counseling team, she worked at an outpatient mental health and addiction center and a child therapy practice.  Natalie approaches therapy through and attachment-based lens, recognizing the profound impact of our early relationships and the systems that shape us. She believes our identities and core sense of self are deeply intertwined with the environments we navigate.  Trained in multi-modal attachment therapy, Natalie integrates various approaches to support clients in exploring their relational patterns, healing past wounds and fostering deeper connections with themselves and others.

Natalie loves working with youth but is most passionate about working with teenagers….the angstier the better!

Natalie specializes in body-image issues, disordered eating,  depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideations (SI) and trauma. Natalie believes that caretakers and families are valuable partners in the therapeutic process and prefers to take a collaborative approach to meeting the needs of the youth and families she works with.

Natalie also enjoys working with individuals of all ages who are navigating life with anxiety, ADHD, substance use, school issues, life transitions, struggles with emotional regulation and specific phobias. Natalie also values working with adoptees, adoptive parents and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Natalie is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), specializes in treating individuals experiencing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related conditions. ERP is a highly effective, evidence-based form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that helps clients gradually confront distressing thoughts, fears, or situations while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors or avoidance strategies.

Her approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each individual’s unique experience. She works with each client to develop personalized treatment plans that build resilience, reduce fear-based responses, and empower them to regain control over their lives. Through structured and supportive ERP interventions, she aims to help clients break free from the cycle of anxiety and compulsions, fostering greater confidence, emotional flexibility, and long-term well-being.

In her own words:

“I would describe myself as energetic, creative, passionate, empathetic and just a tad bit weird (in a good way!)  Somewhere along the way I went from being a 15-year-old glaring in silence at the therapist that my mom brought me to against my will, to sitting on the opposite side of the room as the therapist with some equally unhappy teenagers. I struggled immensely in my adolescent years and am forever impacted by the therapists who crossed my path and were unphased by my hostile vibes. Slowly but surely, therapy allowed me to unravel my pain and allow light into parts of me that I thought had been swallowed up by all the darkness I felt. It is my hope in life to walk alongside others as they find the healing and joy that they are so deserving of – whether they believe that (yet) or not.

When I am not working, you may find me frolicking outside collecting rocks, taking cuttings of plants to bring home to my propagation station, playing either animal crossing or dream light valley on my Nintendo switch, or purchasing some useless but adorable trinket I found thrifting. I am always down for a side-quest and love unexpected adventures. At the office you will likely find me with a diet coke in hand, a notebook full of doodles, and a squishmallow close-by. You also may need to look close to the ground to spot me- I am very short.

I am deeply passionate about therapy and creating space where others feel safe to heal and be their most authentic selves. Hope is real, you ARE worthy, and you are not alone.”

Shannon Walsh, LMHCA, NCC, CCTP (she/they)

Lead Clinician; Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate; National Certified Counselor; Certified Clinical Trauma Professional

Shannon Walsh earned their Master’s of Clinical Mental Health Degree from IWU in 2023, with concentrations in trauma and grief. Shannon went on to obtain a Graduate certificate in Clinical Addictions Sciences from IWU as well. Shannon began her career at The Willow Center where she facilitated IOP, Seeking Safety, and DBT Skills groups. She has experience working with depression/anxiety, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, substance use, disordered eating, and neurodivergence. Shannon is a trauma informed therapist and uses eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients in processing traumatic experiences, memories or events.  EMDR is an evidence-based trauma treatment modality. Multiple studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference in a much shorter amount of time. Shannon has been a licensed mental health counselor associate in Indiana since 2023 and is working toward her LMHC in Indiana.

Their primary modalities include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions-focused therapy.

In their own words:

“This ‘work’ is my passion. I came into this work later in my life, as I spent a large portion of my life dedicated to caring for my children, engaging in advocacy and volunteer work. I am a lifelong Hoosier, though while my partner was in the Army, we lived in a few other states. Ultimately, when he retired from the Army, we knew it was time to go ‘back home again in Indiana.” However, we opted to not move back to the tiny rural town we grew up in and opted for Hendricks County! The juxtaposition of corn fields, highspeed internet, and Starbucks drew us in, and the wonderful people were definitely the icing on the cake.

We have lived here with our four children since 2015. We are both active volunteers within the county. I am currently one of the Board members for Hendricks County Pride and can be found jumping into volunteer throughout the state. In my free time, I enjoy working out, cooking, all forms of art, video games, music, and learning. I am also a tireless advocate for the LGBTQIA+ and disability communities. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are, which also means ensuring they are comfortable. As such, I typically can be found wearing an advocacy tee, jeans, and my Rainbow Vans in the office. You will also find plenty of fidgets, cozy blankets, and possibly a good joke or two. I am a very laid back and open-minded therapist who is passionate about ensuring clients feel safe and comfortable knowing there is never judgment in my office. Taking the first step to ask for help is BRAVE. I’m proud of you for that. Thank you for working to take care of YOU.”

William Coram Voyage Counseling Business Operations Manager

William Coram (he/him)

Business Operations Manager

William supports Voyage Counseling through operations, organizational planning, and behind-the-scenes strategy. He is currently studying Organizational & Business Psychology at Indiana University, where his academic focus centers on leadership, workplace systems, and how organizations can function more effectively while remaining people-centered. Through his work at Voyage, William helps develop internal processes, policies, and systems that support both clinicians and leadership as the practice continues to grow.
In his own words:
“I’ve always been interested in how organizations work, specifically, how structure, communication, and leadership impact people on an individual level. Working with Voyage has allowed me to see firsthand how much strong systems matter, especially in a field where compassion and care are at the center of everything.
I’m passionate about building environments where people feel supported, valued, and set up for success. Whether that’s through improving processes, clarifying expectations, or planning for long-term growth, my goal is always to help create a foundation that allows clinicians to focus fully on their clients.”
Outside of Voyage, William balances his academic work with professional interests in leadership, operations, and organizational development. When he’s not working or studying, he enjoys staying busy, exploring new ideas, and planning what’s next—both personally and professionally.

Jamie Boodt (she/her)

Office Manager

As the Office Manager, Jamie is the first person you will chat with when getting in contact with Voyage. She attended Indiana State University where she studied Business Administration. While in college, she became an active member of Delta Gamma and Alpha Kappa Psi. Through these two organizations she was able to find her passion for giving back to the community. During her college career, she also pursued her lifelong dream of working at Walt Disney World while taking Human Resource classes. Following her internship, she gained experience as an Office Manager working for a world-class hunting lodge. For the last 7 years, Jamie has had the privilege to stay home raising her children, while working PRN at a local hospital as a Patient Access Advocate.

In her own words:

“You can’t pour from an empty cup. One of my favorite statements to share with others as they are struggling to balance all things life throws at them. It’s also the same statement that a friend said to me on one of my most difficult days. As an empath, I have always found myself relating to others as they go through life’s highs and lows. However, it wasn’t until I entered my own mental health journey of postpartum depression and anxiety that I realized it’s okay to ask for help eventually found the importance of advocating for myself.

My husband and I traveled after college but found ourselves settling down in Brownsburg in 2017 after we welcomed our oldest son. In 2020, amidst the COVID craziness, we purchased our first home in Danville where we currently reside with our three boys. When I’m able to break away from mom mode, you will find me around the water, enjoying sunshine, working on a puzzle, event planning, or mapping out my families next big thing. I tend to find myself keeping my calendar quite busy. When I’m not in the office or with my family, you’ll find me volunteering at my boys’ schools, for our local soccer league or roaming the isles of Target and Hobby Lobby.

Once talking with me, I hope you’ll find a friend on the other side of the phone rooting for you or your family member. It’s never too late to reach out and when you do, I’ll be ready to make your onboarding process as easy as possible.

Meet the Owners

Erin Coram, LMFT (she/her)

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Erin Coram, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist and owner of Voyage Counseling with extensive training in play therapy, couples therapy, adolescent centered therapy and family therapy. Erin has been in practice for over 20 years and has worked in a variety of settings such as community-based therapy, community mental health, residential treatment centers, and private practice. Erin is a trauma informed therapist and practices Brainspotting.  Erin also maintains certifications as a functional family therapist, a trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapist and has completed Level 2 Gottman Couples Therapy Training.  Erin also works with an adoption agency supervising home studies.  She is the owner of two additional companies, Indiana Family Therapy Center, Inc. and Embrace for Impact, LLC where she provides coaching, consulting, community groups, speaking engagements and retreats for helpers and healers who have experienced trauma. Erin is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). ERP is a highly effective, evidence-based form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that helps clients gradually confront distressing thoughts, fears, or situations while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors or avoidance strategies.

Erin is passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, women’s issues, life transitions, betrayal trauma, intimate partner violence, ADHD/ neurodivergence, business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders, perfectionists, overachievers, couples, family conflict and people living with or caring for a child or family member with chronic health conditions, especially “invisible illness”.

In her own words:

“From a young age, I knew that helping people cope with and heal from the chaos of life would somehow be intertwined in my profession. I started out in an education program, hoping to become a teacher, but always ended up talking with one or two kids in the classroom about their worries and fears. I knew at that point a major shift was in order and thus began my counseling career.

I tend to look at the big picture and see families as interconnected. Therefore, I understand that each member of the family unit is impacted by illness (physical or mental), stress and/or chaos in any one member of the family. Working from a conceptualization of family systems does not mean that I only work with families, but rather this is the lens through which I view the things you are dealing with. I work with individuals and couples on how to feel alive again, connect with one another and stand back up after being knocked to the ground. As a Type 1 diabetic myself, I understand how frustrating, confusing and exhausting it is living with illness every day. I love working with families that are dealing with illness in the family, as they navigate through all those emotions and figure out their new “normal”, how to support each other without losing themselves and how to push through even when they don’t want to.

I am passionate about what I do. Helping people is a part of who I am. I am not your typical therapist, however. I am a neurodivergent therapist, imperfect parent of two boys, a survivor of intimate partner violence, LGBTQIAA, a wife and a proud entrepreneur and business owner.  You will often find me in ripped jeans and flip flops, curled up in my chair with my coffee. I will treat you as I would anyone else in my life I care about. I will call you out when you need called out and I will push you when you need to be pushed. I will also stand beside you and walk with you through the muck of life and help you make some sense of it all. I will not, however, show up in my suit and sit on my throne and pretend to know everything. I have been on your side of the room (client’s chair), I have been desperate for answers, I have been paralyzed by fear and I have been in so much pain I wasn’t sure which way to turn. I will sit right there with you through it and together, we will find some hope. If you can’t find it, I will lend you my hope for your healing until you discover your own. Often, the pain and conflict will lessen and I will be honored that you allowed me to be a part of it.”

Jessica Neely, LCSW (she/ her)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Jessica earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work Degree from Indiana University (IU) in 2001. She went on to obtain her Master’s of Social Work Degree from IU in 2005, with concentrations in school-based social work and youth and their families. Jessica began her career at the Indianapolis Juvenile Correctional Facility (IJCF) in 2001. In 2005, she moved into community mental health services working for Cummins Behavioral Health. She worked as part of the school-based program from 2007 until the summer of 2010. This included helping to begin the relationship between Cummins and Brownsburg secondary schools from 2009-2010. She has experience working with depression/anxiety, behavioral concerns, school problems, family and peer relationships, stress/anger management, and self-harm behaviors and/or suicidal ideation. Jessica is a trauma informed therapist that uses Brainspotting to assist clients in working through their trauma experiences and memories.  Brainspotting is an evidence-supported trauma treatment modality that is utilizes eye positioning to process trauma.  One of the benefits of Brainspotting is that one does not need to relive the trauma in order to heal and can brainspot nonverbally.  For people that have trouble verbalizing their trauma, or find it too emotionally activating to do so, Brainspotting will allow healing without talking (clients can also verbally process during Brainspotting if they choose to). This can be especially helpful to children who may not have the language to articulate their trauma memories.

Her primary treatment modalities are Brainspotting (BSP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution/Strength-Focused Therapy. Jessica is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). ERP is a highly effective, evidence-based form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that helps clients gradually confront distressing thoughts, fears, or situations while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsive behaviors or avoidance strategies. Jessica also uses play as a therapy approach.  Jessica has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana since 2007.

In her own words:

“Now that the technical stuff is out of the way, here’s a little bit about me. I am a born Hoosier and have lived on the west side of Indy my entire life. Proud graduate of Ben Davis in 1996. My husband and I live with our two kids (20, when she is home from college and 16), dogs, lizards, rabbit and snake. We’re always hoping to add to the zoo, when space allows. I love spending time with my family playing games, watching movies, taking walks, etc.  Other than that, you can find us at marching band everything and robotics. You catch me reading, taking pictures or working on cross-stitch to pass the time, as well (and yes, playing games on my phone). Don’t be surprised if you hear me singing too. I grew up in the choir at my church we went to and joined as soon as I was old enough, not to mention concert and show choir in middle and high school. Music is a big part of my family and always has been. Being a band mom was definitely a whole new experience for me. Fun fact: I had the pleasure of working in Disney World for six months through their college program!!!

If you decide to come visit, please don’t expect to see me all dressed up and ready for the professional world. I’m a firm believer in being comfortable at work. Don’t worry, no PJ’s, I promise. I tend to be pretty laid back and very open-minded; ready to listen and do everything I can to support the amazing kiddos that I get to meet and their families. Thank you, in advance, for allowing me the pleasure of helping you through whatever your child and/or you need.”
