Contact: Luke@voyagecounseling.com

Luke earned his Master’s of Social Work from IU-Indianapolis in 2022, with a concentration in children, youth, and families. Luke first started his career at Kenosis Counseling Center in Greenwood, working in private practice with ages six and up. After this, he began working at The Willow Center, focusing his efforts more on ages twelve and up, as well as facilitating an adolescent DBT group, providing school counseling within the Northwest Hendricks School Corporation, and all while preparing to take his clinical licensure test. Luke
earned his clinical licensure in January of 2025 after a little over 2 years of working with clients. Luke has experience working with depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, trauma, and much more. Luke primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but strives to meet you where you are at above all.
In his own words:
“I am incredibly passionate about helping the people of this community! I grew up in Pittsboro my whole life, so Hendricks County is my home, and it brings me a lot of joy to be able to give back to this community that raised me. My passion for this work has gone through many changes, starting out wanting to work with younger populations and focusing on becoming a play therapist. However, that changed as I began working with more LGBTQIA+ teenagers and adults and recognized that this population, as well as many others, need these spaces to live life to its fullest. Self-love is hard in today’s world but I will be happy to walk alongside anyone who may choose to cultivate it.
When not working, I am an avid fantasy novel reader (favorite is The Stormlight Archives), video gamer, Dungeons & Dragons player, and writer. Basically, if there is something to nerd out about then I am in! During the summer and fall, my significant other and I attend Renaissance Faires, enjoy nature, and generally try to soak up sunshine while we can!
My goal is to make you feel welcome in whatever way possible because vulnerability is difficult. Taking the steps to reach out is already a major accomplishment so congrats! I look forward to getting to know more about your story!
“Why do we tell stories? To try to make sense of a world that can be terrifying and enormous.”
